Embark on a Transformative Journey

Guided by an empathetic and compassionate therapist
Life Is a Journey

At times, we may lose our way without a map or clear direction

Alone

Uncertain

Hopeless

Frustrated

Anxious

Seek help to find a way forward...

Sometimes we take a route that adds difficulties and delays; sometimes we end up retracing our steps and end up in circles; sometimes we just need to stop and rest for a while; sometimes we need to ask someone for guidance and direction.

The moment we decide to reach out to someone for help, something incredible happens.

We no longer feel alone.

We feel heard, we feel affirmed, we start to feel hopeful, we open our mindset to the possibility for change and progress.

This is the first step and it takes courage but it can be life-altering.

Why Cognitive Behavioural Therapy?

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a form of talking therapy ‘which has’ a firm evidence base of effective treatment for a number of mental health problems, including depression and anxiety-based disorders.

CBT is beneficial because it looks at how we think about ourselves, others, and the world in general and how this affects how we feel emotionally and how this in turn influences our behaviour, what we do and what we avoid doing.

CBT offers a practical and goal centred approach and offers you practical problem-solving skills and thought challenging techniques, amongst other tools, to help you develop the confidence, self-compassion and positive mindset you need to manage your mental health and well-being.

I have clinical experience working with the following:

  • Depression
  • Generalised anxiety disorder (GAD)
  • Social anxiety
  • Health anxiety
  • Panic and agoraphobia
  • Specific phobias
  • Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)
  • Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
  • Chronic pain and long-term health issues
  • Trichotillomania (hair pulling) and Dermatillomania (skin picking)
  • Bipolar disorder
  • Attention deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD)
  • Emotional eating issues
  • Body dysmorphia
  • Stress
  • Low self-esteem

I have a particular interest in working with trauma using a trauma-based CBT approach and am trained in Narrative Exposure Therapy. I am also interested in supporting people with OCD, ADHD/ADD and helping women facing mental and physical health issues during perimenopause and menopause, as this a journey I am navigating currently.

When you reach out to me, whatever your concerns and problems, I can offer you a safe, confidential, non-judgemental space to talk about the things that are concerning you and explore effective ways that we can help you address these issues together.

Contact me today to arrange a free 30-minute telephone consultation and we can talk more about how I can help you.
